Reminder: Work day coming up on Sat, 14 May from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be a monthly membership meeting at noon on that day.
First post in this thread has been updated to reflect current info about work days, family fun day, and monthly membership meetings. Read and heed.
March membership meeting this Saturday, 19th at noon at Zars Ranch pavilion.
Traffic lights. LOL. Let's think about going a step further into the future. We tag every bike with a receiver and transponder. Then you'd know if someone was approaching you on the trail. Even...
Just got an update on our current membership numbers. We finished 2021 at 190.
This year (2022) so far:
147 total memberships
-7 of those are lifetime member
-9 of those are the officers
-2...
See starting post. It has been updated with work day dates and family fun day date.
Attended Charlies services today. Good to see old acquaintances (fellow former hare scramblers and former club members) that I hadn't seen in quite some time. Would have liked circumstances to have...
Next Membership meeting is at Zars Ranch, 10:00 a.m. on Sat, 19 Feb 22. I won't be attending as that is the same day as Charile Hornbys service/funeral at 11:00 a.m.
Still no word on work day...
How many cubic feet of electric current are you planning on moving? ;-) Any good plumbertrician can calculate an answer.
On the serious side, just go buy what you need and get the club to pay...
If you look at the interactive, he covered the entire property. So I think the answer is yes, that it is the pink and orange.
As the Canucks would say, 'Good on you' (I first heard this phrase on a trip thru the great north). You took care of both the items we discussed on Wednesday. Thanks.
I spent the day pulling and...
Was informed that another of the old guard has died. Charile was a regular in the club and the hare scramble races for the longest time but I hadn't seen him in a couple of years. Sorry to hear the...
First workdays (22 and 23 Jan) were successful. Good turnouts (30+ for Sat and 18 for Sun). Think a fair amount got done. Thanks to those members and their families who came out and worked to keep...
Thanks Don. Great 'plumbing' job. :-)
No one has claimed the Fob. It now resides in the old guest rider fee box inside the blue container at Zars.
Work day dates (all Saturdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) for rest of 2022:
May 14
Sept 24
Oct 29
Family Fun Day for 2022 is tentaively scheduled for Nov 5.
Hope the manuals are not printed in German or some other foreign language like some aftermarket parts I purchased once upon a time. Fortunately pictures were included. Vat is das?
I still have the fob. For the life of me, I can't understand how someone could lose this and not notice. I've posted flyers at Zars. I'll give it a couple more weeks and then it goes into storage at...
Look at it this way. Your newest hip can use all the workout you can give it. And with your latest eye fix, you should be able to pick out a prime piece of plywood. ;-)
I wouldn't worry about cost. The club is extremely financially sound. DBSA has spent around $45K just on equipment in the last couple of years. A piece of plywood is a pittance. IMO
Agree with all Don has said. I can only hope that with fresh faces occupying the roles of web admin and membership coordinator that things will get better and info provided in a timely manner. I...
Mercedes key fob was found in the Zars Ranch parking area on Wed (29 Dec 2021). I have it. Contact me @ 210-418-0122 to claim. I sent an email out to the rest of the board requesting the info be sent...
I had to lookup Discord Server to know what you were talking about. Similar to a Meetup Group. That might not be a bad idea and possibly worth a try. One of the things I like about the Forum format...
Replying to Dons' comments. I wouldn't want to see our web page deleted and the info put here instead. When I go to a webpage, I don't want to spend a lot of time looking for pertinent info. I would...
