The DBSA general membership meeting was held on 11 October and attended by 13 members. The meeting was called to order and the previous minutes were read to discuss old business. The September minutes were approved. General discussion included approving changes to the member policies. The member policy letter is being revised now and the new letter will be posted at Zars and on the DBSA website.

All members are reminded this Saturday, 15 October is the last scheduled workday for this year. As previously reported, severe weather conditions have wreaked havoc on the trails. Some progress has been made with down trees with special organized work crews but there is still allot of work needed. Please remember to bring your bike, work clothes, and be in place by 8 am for assignment to work teams. Lunch will be provided and no open riding on this day. Anyone who can bring a chainsaw and weed eaters are encouraged to bring them.

DBSA’s Annual Family Fun day is scheduled for 30 October at Zars. Flyers are posted on the website and were sent out via email to all members. The opening comments are scheduled for 8 am followed by the annual poker run and 4 competition events and kids race. The sign in process will be a little different from past events. Upon arrival, Members will receive 1 raffle ticket for a single membership and 2 raffle tickets for family membership for prize drawings. Members will also receive food tickets good for a meal from KRs Gueax-2 catering truck. (menu includes brisket, pulled pork, dirty rice, green beans, tea and water. Guests are welcome to eat, however they must pay menu price at food truck. We will also have a bouncy castle for the little ones. We look forward to a big turnout and good times for this event. The next Dual Sport ride is scheduled for 5 November. Route and meeting placed is TBD. Ralph Crowder is POC for this event and more to follow in near future.

The annual membership renewal and club elections are set for 10 December at Grady’s BBQ at 7400 Bandera Rd. Memberships can be renewed between 11 am to 2 pm. The elections times will be announced at November meeting once all candidates are finalized. Anyone wanting to run for DBSA officer positions must declare candidacy in person at the 9 November general membership meeting.

The El Chupacabra Tag Team Race is scheduled for 13 November. The flyer with all specifics is in circulation for members interested in participating. Members are advised there is no open riding on 13 November and open riding will be limited to course riding only on 12 November. Jeff Seely is the POC for this event.

A treasurer’s report was provided by Dolph and club is in good standing.
