Might get time to join in helping tomorrow....
Coming from Canyon Lake... Not a member yet, would just come to help... bring money on work day. Call a number when I get there? Have a chain saw, just trying to figure out how to carry it... no rack and no big back pack. Anyway, hoping to get clear and show up. Assuming it would be locked, call/text maybe when I get there?
Thx, newb.... Doug

Didn't see this in time to respond to it. Did you make the work day? Turnout was small (i'm guessing around 15 or so) and there were a couple of faces I didn't recognize.
It was a good day for working on the property, bit of moisture in the dirt from the rain but no real mud to speak of, and sunny and warm.

Saw the weather and it looked like Zar's didn't get too much rain...that's cool.
I got hammered at my house; my backyard is a muddy mess.
I obviously didn't make the work day. Hand is getting better; I now can use it fairly well to steer the truck. Hopefully just a few more weeks to go.

Sorry.... been buried, but I did make it. Got teamed with Aaron Krawczynski to trim pink trail. Really enjoyed working with him and picking his brain. I even managed to discover what it’s like to have an “excursion” as we used to call it in auto racing.... think you all might call it a “wash out”! Twice! Duh.... some of the deeper, tighter trenched areas that I attempted to run through too quickly for my ability. Not sure how my 14 yr. old daughter would do on those areas on her TTR125. Need some speed to get up on the banked part, but the “trench” was fairly deep, narrow and made a quick re-direct. Aaron shared faster was usually easier... prob is for someone with a bit more riding experience! Ton of fun, even though our actual riding was pretty limited due to trimming. Def looking forward to returning and joining if my daughter can handle it. Not sure she’ll want to ride the kiddie track, but even pink is a little different than just riding a flat surface. Will look for a sponsor when ready again. Great place, great people.

Glad you made it and enjoyed the experience. Work days are as much a social get together as they are a chance to do a bit of trail maintenance. And you've discovered that Zars Ranch has a great variety of terrain for riding.
