2022 Things to know since the website is so far out of date
Work day dates (all Saturdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) for rest of 2022:
May 14
Sept 24
Oct 29
Family Fun Day for 2022 is tentaively scheduled for Nov 5.
Note that Membership meetings for 2022 will be held on the second Saturday of the month at Zars Ranch Pavilion. The exception to this is for months that have a work day. Then the Membership Meeting for that month will be held on the same day as the work day. There will be no monthly meeting for July and August.

First workdays (22 and 23 Jan) were successful. Good turnouts (30+ for Sat and 18 for Sun). Think a fair amount got done. Thanks to those members and their families who came out and worked to keep Zars ranch a fun and safe place to ride.
Side note: I worked with Ralph doing some fencing work. Least fun job I can think of and manual labor intensive. Would be better suited to younger folks with strong backs and weak minds. ;-)

Next Membership meeting is at Zars Ranch, 10:00 a.m. on Sat, 19 Feb 22. I won't be attending as that is the same day as Charile Hornbys service/funeral at 11:00 a.m.
Still no word on work day schedule for 2022. SOS.

Gotta say thanks to JR, Mike and whoever made the post on the public Facebook letting folks know about the 19 Feb meeting.

Just got an update on our current membership numbers. We finished 2021 at 190.
This year (2022) so far:
147 total memberships
-7 of those are lifetime member
-9 of those are the officers
-2 are ex pres/accountant
If this rate keeps up, I wouldn't be surprised if we have to put a cap on numbers around the middle of the year.

Yeah. I really don't want to have to run power for traffic lights.

Traffic lights. LOL. Let's think about going a step further into the future. We tag every bike with a receiver and transponder. Then you'd know if someone was approaching you on the trail. Even better, we could tag all the cows, deer, feral hogs, javelinas, turkeys, etc too. Just kidding. But I guarantee someone will see this and think 'what a great idea'.
Keep warm and dry out there, it's going to be cold for a few days, though Sunday is looking good according to the forecast.
